Testura is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) test preparation platform. We provide educational tools including practice tests, AI-powered instruction, study modules, and progress tracking to help users prepare for licensing and certification exams.

2. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

• Account information: Your name, email address, and password when you create an account
• Payment information: Billing details processed securely through Stripe. Testura does not store your full credit card number
• Study content: Notes you write in Testura Notebook, highlights you save, flashcards you create, and goals you set
• Communications: Messages you send to our support team

Information collected automatically

• Usage data: Practice test answers, session duration, modules completed, readiness scores, and study patterns
• Device information: Browser type, operating system, and IP address
• Cookies: Small files that keep you logged in and remember your preferences. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not function correctly

AI Instructor interactions

Conversations with your Testura AI Instructor are stored to provide context across sessions — this is what allows your instructor to remember your progress and personalize its teaching. These conversations are stored securely in our database and are not shared with third parties for advertising purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your Testura account
• Provide access to your subscribed suite and platform features
• Personalize your AI instructor's teaching based on your study history
• Calculate and display your readiness score
• Process payments through Stripe
• Send transactional emails — account confirmation, receipts, and important updates
• Respond to your support requests
• Improve the platform based on aggregate usage patterns
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for third-party advertising.

4. How We Share Your Information

We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

• Service providers: We use Supabase for database storage, Stripe for payment processing, and Anthropic's API for AI instruction. Each provider has their own privacy policy and processes data only as needed to provide their service
• Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or government authority
• Business transfers: If Testura is acquired or merges with another company, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you in advance
• With your consent: For any other purpose, only with your explicit permission

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which uses industry-standard encryption for data at rest and in transit. Payment data is handled by Stripe and is never stored on Testura's servers.

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but we are committed to protecting your data.

Your data is stored on servers located in the United States.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information and study data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, your data remains accessible if you return. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Aggregated, anonymized usage data that cannot identify you personally may be retained indefinitely for platform improvement purposes.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate information
• Deletion: Request that we delete your personal data
• Portability: Request your data in a portable format
• Opt-out: Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email we send

8. Children's Privacy

Testura is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that a child under 16 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it promptly. 9. Cookies and Tracking

Testura uses essential cookies to keep you logged in and maintain your session. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. We do not use Google Analytics or any third-party advertising trackers.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may affect your ability to log in or use certain features.

10. Third-Party Links

The Testura Insights page may reference external sources and link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any external site you visit.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by displaying a prominent notice on the platform. The updated policy will include a new "Last updated" date at the top. Your continued use of Testura after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
